What should I expect after treatment? – There is no downtime required after Juvederm treatments. You can expect to be able to return to work or normal activities, with mild redness or soreness at the site of injection.
When will I see results? – Results are immediate. The appearance of treated areas will continue to improve a few days following treatment.
Pre + Post Care
Before Treatment
For optimal results and to decrease the chance of bruising at the injection site, please avoid all blood thinning medications and supplements for 1 week prior to your appointment.
Avoid taking Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Motrin and Aleve to minimize the chance of bruising.
You may not be pregnant or nursing.
After Treatment
Cold gel packs or ice may be gently applied to treated area to reduce swelling.
To avoid bruising, avoid alcohol consumption 24 hours after treatment.
Avoid direct high heat such as sun exposure and hot showers.
Juvederm lasts about 6-12 months. You may receive more treatment as soon as you think you would like more volume correction in the treated area or additional areas.
